Welcome To AW Plumbing Services

If your heating system suffers from any of the following problems a professional power-flush by one of our fully trained engineers may be your most economic option. We also perform power flushing before any new boiler installation and this is usually specified by the boiler manufacturer.
  • Radiators cold spots top or bottom or both
  • Regular need to vent air from radiators
  • Noisy boiler, banging, clunking
  • Noisy pump
  • Boiler keeps cutting out
  • Poor hot water performance especially on combi boilers
  • Long warm up times for heating and/or hot water
  • High fuel bills
Over time your heating system has rusted from the inside producing iron oxcides (black sludge). This sludge plays havoc with the working parts of your system, blocking pipes, radiators, valves, pumps and heat exchangers. If left to corrode for too long this can cause premature failure of any of these components. Obviously when you need to start replacing these items it can get very costly.

Our power-flush will clean your system water leaving it clean. We then add a chemical inhibitor to prevent future corrosion. We do this using specialist equipment consisting of high velocity pumps and specialist chemicals to dislodge and dissovle rust and sludge from within the system. As the cleaning solution passes through the system it is filtered through a powerful magnetic filter that attracts the particles. Although the pump works at high velocity it is only low pressure so poses no danger to your system. This is a tried and tested method that really works if you would like further technical information please call.

Power-Flush does not use high pressure it relies on high velocity, the maximum pressure our pumps will operate at is 1.6 Bar this is well below the normal pressure a heating system can operate at. However due to the cleaning process it may uncover leaks on the sytem that have self sealed with hard sludge or limescale. Sometimes radiator valves may leak afterwards (better to find these problems while you have a heating engineer present rather than when you return from holiday). These should be replaced as leaks are a cause of system corrosion in the first place.

Our prices start from only £240.00 including flushing agent and inhibitor.
